Postpartum Day or Night Support

Service Description

Feel confident and supported during your postpartum journey! I can provide you with the assistance and guidance you need to navigate the early stages of parenthood. $60 an hour (3 hour minimum) Support includes, but not limited to: - Postpartum recovery support for birth parent: help with postpartum comfort and pain relief. - Assistance and guidance with newborn care such as diapering, swaddling, bathing, feeding, babywearing and comforting. - Lactation support / bottle feeding support: If you're breastfeeding I will assist by setting up a comfortable feeding station with drinks and snacks on hand, help you with different positions to promote a good latch, burping the baby and putting the baby back to sleep after. If bottle feeding, I can feed the baby and take care of the rest. - Preparing simple nourishing meals and snacks. - Educational guidance: providing information and resources on baby care, nutrition, lactation and parenthood. - Sibling care: helping siblings adjust to the new family member and assisting with their care and activities. - Pet care: walks and feeding. - Household Assistance: Baby laundry, light housekeeping, washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts, organizing the nursery, restocking diapers and baby supplies. - Running errands: grocery shopping, buying any items needed for postpartum care or for baby. - Discussing any worries parents may have as they settle into newborn life. - Nonjudgmental emotional support, listening and helping to process the birthing journey.
